Fall Roster Selected

TUCSON, AZ - After a thorough 2-day evaluation, the University of Arizona men's lacrosse team is pleased to announce its fall roster.  The 53-man lineup features 31 returners, 2 transfers and 20 newcomers all hailing from 19 different states. An extensive fall ball program will commence this Tuesday, Sept. 6th with fitness testing for all athletes selected. Players will participate in mandatory field practices three days per week (M/W/F), morning strength and conditioning sessions, as well as a box lacrosse training program during November and December. 

"Between returning players, recruits and walk-ons, we had about seventy athletes competing at tryouts last week," noted Head Coach Matt Blamey. "We witnessed a ton of talent on display. As a coaching staff we had to make some tough personnel decisions. We're confident that we've found the right group of guys to represent Arizona on the field. We can't wait to get started. I'd like to convey a sincere thank you to all of the student-athletes that came out for the team."

The Wildcats will take the field for the first time this fall on Saturday, September 24th for the 2022 Red Blue Game. The contest will be held at UofA's Sitton Field. Face-off is scheduled for 11:00AM. Then on October 15th Arizona will travel for a neutral site scrimmage against Utah Valley in Las Vegas. The fall season will culminate on Sunday, October 30th with the annual alumni game.
