Arizona Unleashes 2022 Schedule

by Wildcat Press

TUCSON, AZ - The Wildcats have high expectations in 2022 and a schedule to match. Arizona opens the season at home for the first time in over 6 years. The UCLA Bruins travel to Tucson on February 5th followed by the Mountaineers from West Virginia the next week. After the two-game home stand, Arizona hits the road to Los Angeles to take on conference foe Southern California and PNCLL power Oregon State as part of the annual PAC 12 Shootout.

The 'CATS then return to Tucson for a three-game home stretch consisting of Colorado State, Chapman University and Virginia Tech, before heading to sunny San Diego to take on the Aztecs from SDSU.

After spring break, Arizona will take their home field in four of it's last five regular season games, playing host to Nevada, Minnesota, Concordia-Irvine and Chapman University. This year's Duel in the Desert between Arizona and Arizona State will be played at ASU on April 16th.

"Our leadership asked for as many games as possible. With a 13-game regular season slate, I'd say that has been accomplished," said Head Coach, Matt Blamey. "We've got a special group this year. But we aren't unique in the fact that our guys are absolutely hungry for games. After all of the challenges faced over the past two years, every athlete and program in the country are chomping at the bit. Where I believe we are unique is that we have by far the largest graduating class at Arizona in over a decade. These guys have stuck together through it all. They are ready to take the next step."
