Spring Schedule Released

by Wildcat Media

TUCSON, AZ  -- The Arizona men's lacrosse team will take on a competitive 14-game schedule, highlighted by two neutral site contests. In San Diego on March 6, the Wildcats will take on defending national champion Michigan State. Followed by a game in Las Vegas against perennial power BYU on Saturday, March 16.

Joining the Spartans and Cougars on the non-conference portion of the scheule is Santa Clara, USC, Alabama, Claremont,  and Oklahoma. Arizona will also face a pair of non-conference teams at the Pac-12 Shootout in Stanford and the University of Washington.

The Wildcats will once again have to tangle with familiar SLC foes, featuring Grand Canyon, Arizona State, San Diego State and UNLV.

"We are excited about the competitive schedule we have ahead of us," said Arizona coach Matt Blamey. "Playing in the SLC, we know that we are going to have to fight every year for a ticket to the postseason. We have worked hard to construct a schedule that will challenge us and we are eager to put our men to the test. We are confident that our team will be battle-tested once we hit our conference slate."

Arizona will start the season with a scrimmage against Northern Arizona on Jan. 26 followed by the season-opener against Santa Clara on Feb. 2. Thanks to headlining sponsor, Casino Mine Ranch, all Wildcat home games will once again be professionally broadcasted by APN Video.
